Dr. John Koziarski
Our board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Koziarski was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. In 1994, he began a private practice in Battle Creek, Michigan. Since that time, he has performed thousands of operations in the fields of general and vascular surgery. Then, in 2003, he decided to limit his practice to the treatment of varicose veins. He took additional training in the treatment of venous diseases.
Dr. Koziarski specialized in Phlebology and became the first physician in Michigan to perform an endovenous laser ablation. In 2013, he began looking into functional medicine, the approach of using nutrition and lifestyle modifications to help patients who don’t respond to traditional medical or surgical therapy. To this day, Dr. Koziarski continues to provide vein treatments, functional medicine care, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures at Restorative Health Care.
Carrie Palmer, PA-C
For much of Carrie’s life, West Michigan has been her home. She has worked in the medical field for many years, particularly focusing on the areas of ophthalmology and plastic surgery. For more than 11 years, she performed pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care for patients.
In 2005, she joined Dr. Koziarski as his first assistant and was an integral part of his operative team. Then, in 2015, she began formal training in functional medicine, the science-based application of making diet and lifestyle changes to alter disease progression.
Bethany Huffman, PA-C
A native of Battle Creek, Michigan, Bethany earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Grand Valley State University. Since joining the team in 2008, she has been heavily involved in varicose vein and spider vein treatment cases. She is passionate about educating patients on venous diseases as well as the best treatment options available to them.
